Nigerian Pastor Arrested In South Africa For Vomiting Millions Of Different Currencies
Now, pastors might want to be careful about the kinds of miracles they perform these days to avoid being arrested.
A Nigerian pastor has been reportedly arrested in South Africa for vomiting money in church. It was reported that this is not the first time Prophet Seer 1 has promised to perform a questionable miracle in South Africa and other African countries.
Prophet Seer 1 was reported to have lured hundreds of South African Christians to his church in 2018 and vomited money during miracle hour, and the congregants jostled to pick the monies as they came out from his mouth.
Prophet Seer 1, is likely to face charges of fraud and trickery.
Reports say Prophet Seer 1 had told the congregation that he carried several millions of different currencies inside his stomach before he started vomiting them.
‘Daura is not in Biafra’ — Amaechi defends establishment of transportation varsity in Buhari’s hometown
Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, says he has no regret that the transportation university was established in Daura, the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said this during the groundbreaking of the university in Katsina state on Monday.
Amaechi said he did not make the decision for personal gains, adding that the location could be compared to other parts of the country.
“When we sited the factory at Kajola, there was no noise, nobody debated about it, nobody abused us for it unlike the site for the University,” he said.
“Daura is in Nigeria, it is not in any other part of the world. It is not in Niger Republic, Biafra or Mali, it is in Nigeria. So, what is wrong in siting the University of transportation in Daura? I have no regret siting this university where I have sited it, it is not because I want to get any gain.”
The minister said the N18 billion project is financed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd (CCECC) and China Railway Construction Company (CRCC) as part of a deal he made before signing a railway contract project.
He said the university is an attempt at responding to the question of how Nigeria will maintain the infrastructure within the country.
“It is my attempt at responding to the question of how to maintain and manage all the infrastructure we are building and realised that education is key. I engaged the companies, the first engagement was when they were constructing Lagos-Ibadan,” he said.
“They were not so keen at spending their funds to build a university for Nigeria until I refused to sign the contract for the Lagos to Ibadan railway. I insisted that I will only sign if three things were done.
“The first thing is to take our children to China and train them by giving them first degree in railway technology. Today as I speak, 60 of our children are in their second year and we thank CCECC and 90 are on their way to China this week, making it 150.
“The second is that, if we must sign the purchase of locomotives in China, they must build a factory were we can construct for coaches, locomotives and wagon and today at Kajola that factory is being constructed. Finally, I insisted on the University of transportation and today we are here for the groundbreaking of the University and for all we are grateful to CCECC and the Chinese government.”
Amaechi commended Aminu Masari, governor of Katsina, for donating about 413 hectares of land for the construction of the university.
On the completion of the project, Fidet Okhiria, managing director, Nigerian Railway Corporation, said the university should be ready by the time of completing the Ibadan-Kano rail.
“We hope that by the time we get the rail from Ibadan to Kano the University should be in place,” he said.
Oyo Begins Enforcement of Law Against Overloading For Commercial Cyclists, Motorists
Commercial motor drivers with more than one passenger on the front seat as well as cyclists with more than one passenger would henceforth be arrested and prosecuted for violation of Oyo State Road Traffic Law.
This was disclosed on Monday by the Chairman, Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA), Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, at Ibadan while addressing journalists.
Fagbemi said the number of accidents attributed to overloading in the recent has risen, calling on all motorists to comply with the State Road Traffic Law (2009) that compelled motorists not to take more than a passenger at the front while commercial motorcyclists were also to take a passenger with compulsory use of crash helmet.
“Owing to the significant number of motorcycle-related road crashes recorded in the State in the last two quarters of the year, it has become imperative and expedient to fully and strictly implement the portion of the State Road Traffic Law 2009, which clearly stipulates that all motorists and motorcycles operating within the State should not at any point in time carry more than one passenger and must as well utilize the crash helmet.
“In the best interest of citizens of Oyo State, particularly as the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration is committed to the security of lives and properties of the people, the governor has directed, through OYRTMA that all commercial motorists and motorcycles must adhere strictly to the traffic law on the number of passengers to load, so as to avoid accident.”
Fagbemi reiterated the readiness of the State administration to put any offender caught violating the law through the legal process to serve as deterrence for others.
KIRIKIRI TOWN RESIDENTS PROTEST AGAINST BAD ROAD CAUSING DEATH IN THE COMMUNITY
Recently, protesting residents, including women and youths, carried placards with different inscriptions indicating the bad state of the road and adjoining streets.
One of the protesting residents identified as Mr Fabian Makanju said that the gridlock caused by the bad roads within the Kirikiri community had led to the death of many residents.
For instance, he said a recent fire incident at the foot of the exit point of Kirikiri town which was caused by bad roads, and led to the fall of a petroleum-laden tanker that eventually sparked off a fire that consumed many property and lives, is an indication that order needs to be restored in the town. In that incident alone, a resident of the community in pursuit of his daily bread was killed and several other residents had their cars trapped and reduced to ashes by the fire.
Another resident lamented that truck owners now block the roads to the detriment of other residents and business concerns in the community.
For instance, he said schools inside Kirikiri town and Comfort Oboh areas whose pupil and students are residing outside the area can no longer attend school, and if they do they are held up in traffic for several hours due to container trucks that have blocked the roads.
A school owner who spoke on condition of anonymity expressed bitterness that even the security agencies that were deployed to the area to control traffic and ensure sanity have joined in the melee and are making huge sum out of the truck drivers rather than create access for the residents to go out and come in.
The school proprietor lamented that the gridlock has depleted the population of the school, saying “take a look round, this is a primary school and this is 11:00a.m and these are just the few children who can make it to school today because two of our buses are still stuck in traffic.”
One of the protesting residents who was identified as Catherine Chidozie said: “This protest is long overdue. Some of our children can no longer go to school; the ones that go to school struggle to get there because their school buses no longer ply the routes due to the state of affairs in the area.
“We are suffering. About some months ago, a young boy lost his life. He had been sick and became unconscious, so his family decided to take him to Hilton Hospital in the Berger area. They were on the way when they ran into a gridlock caused by bad road. The boy died in the car.
“We want the road to be fixed. We want the trucks plying this road to be diverted to another route because they cause gridlock. Sometimes, we pass under the trucks to enter our houses. We want all these to stop.”
The story of people dying as a result of the massive gridlock, according to residents, is just one pathetic story out of many others.
One of them was that of a pregnant woman who was to deliver a baby and was being transported to the hospital she was using which was located outside the area.
She and her husband were held up in traffic for hours, as the container-laden trucks have blocked the entire space and vehicle coming in and out of the Comfort Oboh area could not have access.
Witnesses who told the story said that the woman decided to enter a nearby hospital and within five minutes of getting into the hospital, she gave birth to a baby boy.
The witnesses said, it could have been disastrous if she had continued to wait in the traffic as she and the unborn child would have been at risk,
Another resident, Mrs Josephine Gbadamosi, lamented over the untold hardship residents have to contend with living on the street.
“The condition of this road has become worse of late to the point that we sometimes contribute money to get sand to fill the bad portions. The shop owners around here have been the ones donating money to buy materials to fill the ditches, just to make the road passable because the state government has not done a thing here for years. Sometimes I even wonder if we have one. Each shop owner pays as much as N40,000, just to fill the potholes and clear the gutters. Because the gutters are not in good condition. I have fallen into this dirty water on so many occasions while on a bike,” she said. The payment of fixing the road all by themselves is just because they wanted comfort even as they do not want the continuous death as a result of bad roads.
Sacked Oyo Local Government Chairmen Cry Out Over Makinde’s Plan To Appoint New Caretaker Chairmen
The Association of Local government Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State has decried the planned appointment of caretaker Chairmen for the 33 local government areas in the state by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Peak News had reported that Makinde plans to appoint caretaker chairmen for council areas and sole administrators for local council development areas.
A statement by ALGON Chairman in the State, Prince Ayodeji Abass – Aleshinloye described the plan as tales by moonlight on grassroots Democratic Governance.
According to Abass-Aleshinloye, the Governor’s plan is a tale better told to the un-informed and co-deceptive wreckers of the democratic Culture.
The ALGON Chairman described democracy as a seed that germinates and develops on the practice and strict adherence to the rule of law and a willingness to entrench the democratic culture by its proponents. “So far, Gov. Makinde’s undemocratic disposition and flagrant disobedience, with impunity, of court orders by illegally dissolving constitutional bodies, elected democratic local government structures, breaches of contractual obligations, in Oyo State clearly shows a despotic government. Perhaps the governor may want democracy, but it appears his spirit is too weak to take the necessary courageous steps to be on the right path for its evolution”.
Abass-Aleshinloye drew the Governor’s attention to the subsisting judgments of the Supreme Court that declared as illegal, null and void, any dissolution of elected local government councils by state governors and state assemblies.
“The governor is fully aware of this and the specific judgement of the Oyo State High Court, which re-emphasized same and stopped the Oyo State governor and House of Assembly from dissolving local governments”.
“Governor Makinde did not only consciously flout these subsisting court orders / judgements, he also took other dangerous steps by illegally dissolving OYSIEC, a constitutional body with a specified tenure provided by our constitution.
To add salt to the injury, His Excellency moved a notch further in acts of illegality by seeking to bribe members, through monetisation, of OYSIEC dissolution which has raised both moral and legal questions as to the reckless use of tax payers’ money for illegal, selfish and partisan ends.
“This Governor continues with reckless abandonment to abuse his oath of office by constantly reiterating he would conduct local government elections into councils next year, even while the tenure of our members subsist. Is this the said people’s mandate, to trample on everything sacred in our constitution? We will not abandon our mandate by the good people of Oyo state, nor allow sudden opportunistic advisers of the Governor to derail democratic norms, values and culture in our dear state”.
“We will not compromise the people’s mandate to us, but only appeal to our dear citizens of Oyo state across the Local governments and LCDAs to keep faith with constitutionality. The acts of impunity shall be set aside by our Courts by the grace of God, and in expression of the will of the people. The judiciary remains the last hope of the common man and of our constitutional democracy.
The ALGON chair warned that any attempt as being contemplated by the Governor to impose Caretaker arrangements on all the Local Governments in Oyo State against series of court judgements which his administration has appealed to, shall be totally rejected as this may result to polity and eventually lead to a state of emergency.
Partners should be cautious of individuals with whom they have oral sex as more evidence continues to connect it to throat cancer, an expert has warned.
Oropharyngeal cancer refers to conditions where abnormal cells grow in the tissue of the part of the throat including the base of the tongue, the tonsils, the soft palate, and the walls of the pharynx.
Brandon Prendes, an American surgeon with the Cleveland Clinic, disclosed that unsuspecting individuals risk this type of cancer by having oral sex with partners who suffer the human papillomavirus (HPV) due to the link between both diseases.
Cleveland Clinic quoted the head and neck surgeon to have said that, though oral cancers have long been linked to smoking, current research showed that HPV is directly related to some throat cancers.
According to him, the number of patients suffering the disease may soon outpace cervical cancer cases.
While explaining that having multiple oral sex partners is the “number one” risk factor for contracting HPV-related throat cancer, Prendes added that smoking raises the risk of developing the condition and also decreases response to treatment.
“I don’t think anyone in our field or any epidemiologist would argue the link between HPV and throat cancer at this point. It’s a strong link,” he said.
Although oral cancers have long been linked to smoking, data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that there are 18,000 new cases of throat cancer diagnosed annually.
Police will not spare Nnamdi Kanu if he comes home for his mother’s burial –CP Okon
Following news that has gone viral in recent time that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu would return home for his mother’s burial, Abia State Commissioner of police, Ene Okon in this interview with OKEY SAMPSON in Umuahia has sounded it loud and clear that police in the state will not spare Kanu if he sets foot in Abia for his mother’s burial.
IPOB said their leader, Nnamdi Kanu will be coming home for his mother’s burial. What do we expect from the police?
Well, if members of IPOB are speculating that, the police do not know that one. What I know is that Nnmadi Kanu jumped bail and escaped and is wanted and remains a wanted man. Until that time, but I couldn’t tell you about police action on anything that is speculation, until he comes.
The mother is dead and from every tendency he is likely coming back to bury her. What will be police reaction if he comes back?
If he comes back and submits himself to the police, police will know what to do at that time. Like I said earlier, we do not deal on speculation, but if actually he will come back, then we will know what to do.
If he comes back and fails to submit himself as you will want him to, what will police do?
If he submits himself, we have to take him before the court, but where if he fails to submit himself to the police if he comes back, he is a wanted man; he is a wanted man and the law on somebody that is wanted is clear. Even you as a private person or civilian can arrest a wanted man and hand him over to the police. Then what will police do? If someone is wanted and police sees that person, definitely he will be arrested by the police and handed over to the court.
Nnamdi Kanu has said without number that he has not done anything that would warrant the court to declare him wanted. Do you agree with him?
Did he jump bail or not? He had a case in court, he was granted bail, and he jumped bail. So, when somebody jumps bail, what do you call that one? If he claims he did not do anything, he that will be an illusion, living in the inclination of the grandeur. The fact remains that he jumped bail and escaped; and he is wanted, he is wanted. So, that is the position.
There is this thinking in some quarters that since the mother died, police would have sympathy and allow him to come home and bury her.
Don’t you think along that line?
The court will decide and not the police. But the fact remains that once any person is declared wanted, wherever the police see him in any corner of Nigeria, the person will be arrested.
Since you said the IPOB leader will be arrested if he comes home because he was declared wanted, he has been moving freely abroad, why have the police not made any effort to nab him?
That has to do with international law and a lot of things are involved that require going through Interpol.
Some people believe Nigeria police is acting as local lords in this matter. Why has it not initiated that move for Interpol to get the IPOB leader arrested?
That’s a question I cannot answer, there is international dimension to it. The Federal Government has to come in here. You know Nigeria is a member of Interpol, a member of international organizations that have treaties; it has to go through these treaties, conventions and all that. You can’t just jump over some of these things and you say you want to arrest somebody, no, there are procedures. We are in a country that has treaties with other countries, we need a whole lot of laws and all that and you have to go through all those procedures, it’s not a day’s job.
Members of IPOB see Nnamdi Kanu’s mother as equally their mother and customarily may be preparing to come out en masse to give her a befitting burial. What will the police do if this happens?
Until that time, wait and see what police will do.
Are there security measures to be put in place by the police during the burial ceremony?
As at now you are just saying what people are speculating, we have not known or heard that the family has fixed the burial and all that.
Until that time, when we know and when the family tells us their mother is going to be buried, then we will know how and what to say, but for now, people are speculating. So, we cannot wake up and start issuing statement on mere speculation. We have our own intelligence, when the time comes, we will get our own intelligence and know what to say or do.
Won’t it be wise for police to give warning early enough to those who may want to foment trouble in whatever guise during the burial?
We don’t warn on rumour, we will only warn when we gather intelligence, we subject intelligence to analysis and all that and if we are convinced of the intelligence, we will do the needful.
If IPOB applies to the police to be allowed to formally take part in the burial, what will be your response as the Commissioner?
Who will apply to the police?
I mean IPOB
A proscribed organization to do what? A terrorist organization will apply to the police? Okay, when they apply, let them put their names, their correct names so that we know what to do. By the way, how do you expect police to honour application by a proscribed and terrorist organization? We are even looking for them, let them apply and put the names of their leaders in the application as that will give us a very good ground to do the needful.
Ember Months: Oyo Govt Gives Transporters Three Days To Vacate Ojoo Interchange
Transporters parking to load and offload passengers along the Ojoo Interchange at Akinyele local government in Ibadan have been given three days to vacate the place and use the the designated Akinyele Trailer Park.
The three day ultimatum given to commercial transporters was to ease the traffic situation along the Interchange towards UI road as well as the road leading to Lagos-Ibadan expressway from Ojoo.
The directive has indicated a ban on the activities of motorists along these routes which would attract stiff penalties when caught.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands,Housing and Urban Development,Tpl Ademola Ajibola
during a meeting with security and road management personnel on Friday at his office in Ibadan said the State Governor, Seyi Makinde has frowned at the way commercial cars and buses park at the roadside of the Ojo interchange.
He noted further that for safety of lives and beautification of the city, traders at the interchange must move
to Abatakan where stalls would be built for them while trailer operators at Abatakan would relocate to
Akinyele Trailer park.
“The governor has indicated his aversion to the continued use of the Ojoo Interchange, which was conceived and constructed to ease traffic congestion and stop accidents which hitherto had claimed lives and properties for trading and parking by motorists to load and offload passengers.
“He has approved a ban on trading and activities of motorists at this interchange in order to maintain the purpose for which it was built and any violation starting from Tuesday, 3rd of December will be dealt with by security and road transport management as dictated by the State’s environmental and transport laws.”
Present at the meeting were officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Nigerian police, Oyo State Road Transport Maintenance Agency (OYRTMA) among others.
The Ojoo Interchange was constructed by the State government to put a stop to frequent loss of lives and properties occasioned by loss of control by trailers and heavy trucks that usually rammed into residential buildings along the road and at times resulted in fire outbreaks.

Igbo man brain can not be compared with the brain of any other black man any where or even a white man brain. Igbos are direct descendants of God. If not for the kind of place we find ourselves white man will be coming down to Igbo land to learn from us but I say it will definitely happen only time.
