Peter Obi’s supporters are branch of Atiku’s movement – Reno Omokri reveals

A socio-political activist, Reno Omokri has claimed that the supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi are part of the movement for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Reno stated that prior to the Obidient movement, Mr Peter Obi was a major supporter of Atiku Abubakar.

Reno warned against voting for candidates who have bad leadership qualities, claiming that Atiku is a unifier.

He wrote, “Before Peter Obi was Obidient, he was Atikulated. He was also a #RenosNuggeteer. Once an Atikulate, always an Atikulate. Even if you are Obidient, do vote for Atiku.

“The Obidient movement is a branch of the Atiku movement, and when we win, there will be enough room for Peter and all Obidients!

“Don’t vote for the one that will bat you about. Be Obidient and vote Atikulately for the unifier. Vote for Atiku Abubakar. It is the only Obidient thing to do!”

I am Still A Strong Supporter Of President Buhari – Hassan Usman, Released Train Abductee

I am Still A Strong Supporter Of President Buhari – Hassan Usman, Released Train Abductee

Following his release after spending more than 100 days in captivity, Hassan Usman, one of the released abductees from the Abuja-Kaduna train, has maintained that he still remains a strong supporter of President Buhari.

IGBERE TV reports that Usman, a lawyer, and his wife, Amina were among the passengers abducted in an attack on the trrain on March 28.

Hassan was among the several victims seen in a viral video being tortured by the terrorists before his eventual release, alongside two others, on July 25.

Speaking with The ICIR in an exclusive interview in Kaduna, Usman described his days in the kidnappers’ den as a terrible experience.

“It has been a bitter experience I must say. Since when we were captured, we have to walk a long miles for almost three days before we reached a camp where we were detained for close to four months and being there is a bitter experience actually. Because since we arrived that camp, we have been sleeping on bare ground for most of the time. Come rain, come sunshine, we have been there. Mosquitoes and reptiles and snakes were biting us for a very long time. We have killed more than 10 snakes and some other reptiles like scorpions or what have you.”

He explained that the terrorists said they attacked them to protest for the release of their members who have been detained by the government for several years.

He added that the terrorists said once their demands are met, the rest of the captives would be released.

Hassan noted that even though he is still a strong supporter of Buhari, the President has failed in the area of security.

“I am still a strong supporter of Buhari but in terms of security, I can score this government below average. Because one of their major responsibilities is to see that the lives and property of citizens are being guaranteed by the government. But as it is now, I can say that the government has failed woefully in that area. Despite the huge resources allocated for security in Nigeria, there is nothing to write home about.”

He called on government to secure the release of other victims in captivity noting that the terrorists are becoming more fierce the longer the victims are staying in their camp.

We Thought Jonathan Was Bad, Now We Are With The Worst of Buhari —Sanusi Lamido

We thought Jonathan was bad, now we are with the worst of Buhari —Sanusi Lamido

Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has expressed sadness at the current economic and security situation in Nigeria, insisting that the country is in a deeper mess now, than it was in 2015.

The former monarch expressed these worries when he spoke at the Akinjide Adeosun Foundation, AAF’s, Leadership Colloquium and Awards, Chapter 7, themed ‘Are Good Leaders Scarce in Nigeria’? on Thursday, August 4.

The former CBN governor criticized the present administration, saying that in spite of the current mess, the present leadership expects to be rewarded with appreciation after leaving office.

“The levels of poverty, levels of insecurity, the rate of inflation, the unstable exchange rate, the lack of power should worry anybody. This is the only oil-producing country that is grieving at the moment when oil prices have gone up as a result of the Russia/Ukraine war. Our total revenue is not able to service our debt and if anybody does not understand that we are in a complete mess, we are.

We were in a deep hole in 2015 and between 2015 and now, we have been digging ourselves into a deeper hole. We thought we had a big problem in 2015 but 2015 is nothing, compared to what will happen in 2023.

We have terrorism, banditry, inflation, unstable exchange rate, and the worst thing is that those in leadership actually think we are going to thank them when they leave office. There is no change. There is no sense of urgency. If you are running a company and your sales revenue cannot pay interest, you know you’re bankrupt.

When the total revenue of the federal government cannot service debt? These are the kinds of questions we need to ask and the reality is that there are so many Nigerians, who, given the opportunity will do well but they simply cannot contest in that space.”he said

According to him, Nigeria is in a mess because of the visionless leaders the country has.

2023: Tinubu Will Run Nigeria Exactly Like Buhari — Festus Keyamo.

Tinubu Will Run Nigeria Exactly Like Buhari — Festus Keyamo.

Bola Tinubu will run on the template of President Muhammadu Buhari if elected president in 2023, his campaign spokesman Festus Keyamo clarified on Friday.

Tinubu’s associate and former party chairman Adams Oshiomhole had on Thursday sought to extricate Mr Tinubu from the failure of the Buhari regime, claiming his man has not been part of the government.

But Mr Keyamo, a serving junior minister for Labour and Employment said Mr Oshiomhole was misinterpreted by the media.

“It is the same APC template that both leaders (Buhari and Tinubu) that they will use,” Mr Keyamo said in an interview on Channels TV on Friday night.

“I saw one misleading headline from one of the papers yesterday and I laughed. It was misleading, misinterpreting what one of our leaders said. That we were distancing ourselves from the records of Buhari. That is utter nonsense. Like I said, we are proud of the record of the APC.” The APC chieftain said.

“Dapo Abiodun Must Be Removed Come 2023” – Amosun Insists.

“Dapo Abiodun Must Be Removed Come 2023” – Amosun Insists.

Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has broken his silence over the 2019 governorship election, saying Governor Dapo Abiodun was rigged into office.

Amosun had backed Adekunle Akinlade who contested on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) against Abiodun who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the end, Abiodun defeated Amosun’s anointed candidate with a margin of 19,517 votes.

Abiodun polled 241,670 votes to defeat Akinlade who had 222,153 votes.

More than three years after the election, Amosun who represents Ogun Central at the Senate, declared that his friend turned foe, Abiodun did not win that election.

He spoke on Friday in Abeokuta after receiving an award from the Abeokuta Club to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the association.

He added that he had moved on because of those orchestrated the rigging have apologized to him.

“During the last election, thank God, Chief Osoba is here, I have said it, we won convincingly. They rigged, rigged, and ended up with 19,000.

“Some of them came to apologise to me. I can be mentioning names. We won that election. But I have moved on. We did our work, we will continue to do what we have to do. God will be with all of us,” the former governor said.

Speaking later in an interview with newsmen, Amosun declared that he was not in support of Abiodun’s administration, saying he must be removed.

He also assured his supporters that the next line of action would soon be made public.

“Well, I am happy. When you are in a place and they are telling you that you have done the work of four or five governors altogether. I feel elated. I am happy that they appreciated our little efforts.

“Just wait, very soon, you will hear where we are going next. Clearly, you know my stand, and my stand is my stand. I am not supporting this administration that is there now. He must be removed,” he said.

Galaxy TV News reports that Akinlade who was Amosun’s anointed candidate in 2019 is now the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, ahead of next election.

2023: Peter Obi Will Make Winning Presidency Very Easy For Tinubu —Hilliard Eta

Peter Obi will make winning presidency very easy for Tinubu —Hilliard Eta

“Obi is a paradigm that APC needs to deal with. But, I will tell you this. The APC is very happy to have Obi around because he is eating up the PDP votes in the South East and the South South. He is just leaving the APC and the Labour Party to contest the votes in the South East and South South.

“Obi is also very popular in the metropolitan Abuja and Lagos. But besides that, in the rural areas of Nigeria, nobody knows him. You go to Zanguru or Zangon Kattaf, and ask who Obi is, and probably most people in those localities mistake him for a trader somewhere. But, he is a phenomenon in the South South and South East, metropolitan Abuja and Lagos, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube,” he warned.

“The youths are angry, and they have every right to be angry, but unfortunately for the youths, they have been looking for a hero, and they have found in Peter Obi a hero, but it is sad because Peter Obi is the antithesis of everything the youths should be looking for, but they have found in him and that is why I said APC should be looking at a new paradigm.

“The party needs to look at the concerns of the youths. It is very important because Nigeria is a very youthful country. We need to create jobs for those who are going to school. We need to give those who are going to school quality education, we need to advance the course of health in such a way that people that are born tomorrow will not suffer the indignity of lack of health facilities that those who are born today are suffering,” he charged.
