More Hardship Awaits Nigerians, Army Will Go On Strike

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele said Nigerians will experience more hardship because the government is in debt that cannot be fully paid in the next six years.

The cleric made the comment via a statement issued by his media aide Osho Oluwatosin.

Ayodele, in his “sparkling prophetic warnings”, noted that the people will start protesting against the economic hardship because things are going to be more expensive in the coming days and will lead to the government officials being stoned, embarrassed, and mocked publicly.

‘More hardship awaits Nigerians because this government is serious on debt that cannot finish in the next six years. Even the next government will still continue to service debt. Only God can help Nigeria because there is going to be a massive protest against the economic hardship. Things are going to be very expensive, the government is just telling Nigerians lies, I am not seeing any better days ahead because everyone will be affected. It will amount to stoning, embarrassing and mocking our leaders.’

‘’Our economy is in serious shambles, it will get to a point where the police and army will go on strike because of payment. There will be inflation in the country and pure water will sell for N50, local rice will sell for N30,000, five litres of groundnut oil will sell for N5,000, there will be no N200 bread, Congo of garri will sell for N1500, with N1,000 you won’t be able to feed yourself, cement will sell between N5,500-N6,000, minerals will sell for N200, Petrol is still going to N250/Litre. Nothing is coming out of this government anymore, it is confusing and will affect the rich and poor and even banks will fold up and forcefully retire some of their staffers. With this economy, hard times await private sectors, multinational companies will begin to shut down’’

Peter Obi Cannot Win, He Is Working For Tinubu Indirectly ~ Reno Omokri

Peter Obi Cannot Win, He Is Working For Tinubu Indirectly Says Reno Omokri.

The largest beneficiary of Peter Obi’s Presidential race is Tinubu, now no longer Obidients. Peter won’t have an effect on APC’s votes.

The votes he’s going to possibly get are votes that could have clearly long past to PDP, which include withinside the Southeast, a few non Yoruba Lagos votes, a piece of Benue votes, and some votes in peripheral states.

There is lots of hysteria, which has blinded the eyes of the center Obidients — That uncontrollable emotion makes them unaware of a variety of things.

One of that is that the Yoruba have NEVER voted for a non Yoruba while a Yoruba is withinside the race. It does now no longer depend whether or not or now no longer they just like the person.

Another is that the Hausa and Fulani have simplest ever voted for a Muslim, whether or not he be from the North or South. You may increase the difficulty of Jonathan.

I changed into one of the strategists at the back of President Jonathan’s 2011 victory and we misplaced withinside the North.

What we have been searching out changed into 25%, which we were given in 2011, however couldn’t get in 2015. In fact, we were given much less than 20% in Kano, Bauchi, and Yobe in 2011.

Tinubu is a grasp tactician. He is aware of Peter Obi can’t win — And he is aware of that very, little or no of Peter’s votes, if any at all, will come from him.

He is conscious that Peter is consuming into the PDP’s votes. So, he’s going to sell Obi’s candidacy thru proxies.

Because this is certainly considered one among his paths to victory! All he could ask from his Southeast foot infantrymen is they ought to get him 25% of the votes in at the least 2 Southeastern states.

And he’s going to get it in Imo and Ebonyi, through hook or crook!

Notorious Bandit, Bello Turji Is Now Helping Us To Fight Terrorists – Zamfara Govt

Notorious Bandit, Bello Turji Is Now Helping Us To Fight Terrorists – Zamfara Govt

A notorious bandit kingpin Bello Turji is now helping in the fight against terror after embracing the peace initiative of the Zamfara State Government as part of efforts to end banditry in the north-western state.gathered that the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Hassan Nasiha, disclosed this during a conference on security in Gusau, the State capital organized by the Students Union Of Medina University.

Nasiha commended Turji for deciding to shun banditry, saying his action is bringing about relative peace in the three local government areas which were hitherto the frontline of banditry in Zamfara State.

According to the deputy governor, for the past five weeks, there has not been a clash between the Fulanis and Hausas in Birnin Magaji, Shinkafi and Zurmi Local Government Areas of the State as a result of the dialogue to broker peace between the two warring factions in the State.

“There were several wars which fought but that did not stop the parties involved from dialogue to resolve their differences through a peace deal,” he said.

“It is in the light of this that governor Bello Mohammed thought it is necessary to use kinetic and non-kinetic approaches. It would not be a gun battle or a war using whatever weapons between the bandits and the people.”

He also disclosed that the committee constituted by Governor Bello Matawalle chaired him had held a peace meeting with nine bandits’ camps at Magami District and Dansadau Emirate of Gusau and Maru Local Government Areas of the State to stop attacking innocent citizens.

“This is why in the last three months at Magami District, there has not been any bandits attack as a result of the peace initiative with the bandits. The Committee met with nine bandits’ camps at Magami and Dansadau Emirate where the bandits raised their concerns.

“They said the Hausas always attacked and raped their women, killing the Fulanis on their way to or returning from the market. There is no school built for our children, this ignorance pushed them to join in engaging banditry.”

He further stated that Turji, who keyed into the amnesty of Governor Bello Matawalle, is now launching an offensive against the terrorists in the areas to ensure peace and stability returns to the state.

How I Slipped Out Of Nigeria Amidst Threats To My Life By Steven Kefas

How I Slipped Out Of Nigeria Amidst Threats To My Life

By Steven Kefas

Steven Kefas, a journalist and human rights activist from Kaduna State, has been persecuted and imprisoned over his fearless reporting on the terrorist attacks in his home state.

When I stepped foot outside the Kaduna maximum security prison on 29 October 2019, I thought I was really free. But I was wrong; what was to come would be more terrible than the prison walls and the jailer’s chains. I had been in prison for 162 days under very dehumanising conditions for my advocacy against the senseless killings of Christians in my native Southern Kaduna, and northern Nigeria as a whole.

In April 2020, barely six months after my release from jail by the government, I went on the run again because so-called security agents were coming after me for simply tweeting a news link published by Zenger news, a United States-based digital newspaper. Zenger news had reported that a mobile phone recovered from the scene of a terrorist attack on the Christian community of Chawai in Kauru local government area of Kaduna State contained phone numbers of some serving military personnel.

The report further alleged links between the terrorists and the Nigerian military. I didn’t write the report, I only tweeted the story. Shortly after my tweet went viral with over 4,000 retweets, I started getting strange phone calls from people threatening me. I had to leave my home and travel to another town for my safety.

Attacked in my sleep

After some months the threats subsided, or so I thought. I continued my advocacy until I had another shock in July 2021 – a letter purportedly written by Fulani terrorists and addressed to a friend of mine, Pastor Gideon Mutum, a Kafanchan-based clergyman and human rights activist. The terrorists had told Pastor Mutum to inform me that they would hunt me down. Pastor Mutum had to flee Kafanchan and I also relocated to another town.

In April 2022, I was attacked in my sleep by unknown persons who sprayed poisonous chemicals – believed by doctors to be chlorine gas – into my bedroom through the open window. I spent weeks in hospital due to the effect of the gas I inhaled. I am still suffering respiratory problems as a result.

After the gas incident, I relocated from my house to a different town in June. Shortly after my relocation, former neighbours began to inform me about unknown individuals who had come to ask after me. A few days before I left Nigeria, my former pastor sent me a WhatsApp message informing me that some people who claimed to be Department of State Security officials had come to look for me.

How I left Nigeria

When my good friend the Very Rev. Fr. John Mark Cheitnum was abducted and gruesomely murdered by terrorists, I knew that it was just a matter of time before I would also be abducted or killed. Fr. Cheitnum, a vocal advocate for human rights, justice and equity was abducted on 15 July 2022 and murdered almost immediately. His decomposing body was recovered a few days later.

A day before he was buried, I was warned by a friend who works with one of the intelligence agencies not to attend the burial. He warned me that plans to abduct me were at an advanced stage, and that I should leave northern Nigeria, and possibly the country, if I could.

Less than two weeks later, on 27 July, I embarked on a tumultuous journey through one of Nigeria’s northern borders by road. I left the country with nothing other than the clothes I was wearing, my passport and, most importantly, faith. It was a journey I never planned for but that was necessary if I was to stay alive. I had no idea where I was going.

Today, I am in exile, a refugee in another man’s country, simply because I chose to speak for the voiceless men, women and children that are daily being massacred because of their faith or ethnicity in Nigeria.

Manual collation of results: INEC laying foundation for rigging of 2023 elections – Atiku Abubakar

Manual collation of results: INEC laying foundation for rigging of 2023 elections – Atiku Abubakar

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is laying the foundation for the rigging of the 2023 election through the manual collation of results.

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye in an interview with the Punch on Saturday said the collation of results of the 2023 general elections will be done manually despite the adoption of electronic transmission of results.

Okoye was quoted to have said “Section 60(5) of the Act makes it mandatory that the presiding officer shall transfer the results, including total number of accredited voters and the results of the ballot in a manner prescribed by the commission. Thereafter, the presiding officer shall after recording and announcing the results deliver the same along with election materials under security and accompanied by the candidates or their polling agents, where available to such person as may be prescribed by the commission.

“The implication of this is that the collation process of results is still essentially manual, but the collation officer must collate subject to his verification and confirmation that the number of accredited voters stated on the collated result are correct and consistent with the number of accredited voters recorded and transmitted directly from polling units, he added.

Atiku, reacting through his spokesman, Daniel Bwala, Sunday alleged that with such a statement ” INEC is laying the foundation for the rigging of the 2023 elections”.

The PDP Presidential candidate spokesman examined that “Section 60 is clear. At the close of voting at the polling unit, the voting results will be uploaded, meaning that by the time the officer from the unit goes to the ward, he cannot present a result different from the one that was uploaded, which every voter can have access to it.

According to him, the same thing applies to the local government and the state, because there is evidence that results have been sent to a server where they cannot be manipulated.

He said, what Okoye said means they are creating the room and possibility for somebody to manipulate the result without prejudice to the counting and the result as announced at the unit.

The PDP candidate cautioned INEC that Nigerians are not interested in litigation, but in a free, fair, credible election where their votes will count.

According to him, If INEC relies on manual collation, they will be going around the provisions of the Electoral Act to take the country’s electoral system backwards.

He continued “Sadly, they are trying to find a solution where there is no problem because this same electronic upload and transmission has been done in Anambra, Ekiti, Edo and Osun and they were successful, that procedure has not been challenged.

“If you go to court all the challenges in court were around certificates of individual and whether that individual is qualified or not. But that procedure has worked.

“So why are you trying to fix something that is not broken? It means something is fishy, we smell coffee. And that’s why we’re calling all well-meaning Nigerians and lovers of democracy in Nigeria and beyond to raise their voices and speak with one voice.

“There must be strict compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act with respect to electronic upload and transmission of result, without prejudice to what INEC is thinking about bringing”.

He warned that INEC must never try to change the procedure that has worked in these states mentioned.

Emphasising that, the 2023 election must be free and must be transparent.

“We don’t want litigation. We want the voice and the will of the people to prevail in Nigeria,” he added.
