The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has unfolded that he rejected private jet from four biggest billionaires.

According to him, the billionaires wanted to buy him a private jet, but he kicked against it.

Adeboye, in one of his sermons, said the incident took place many years ago when the naira was still very strong and even stronger than the dollars.

“At a stage of our history, four of the biggest billionaires in Nigeria were worshiping here. I am talking of billionaires at a time when billion naira means billion naira. At a time when the Naira was stronger than the Dollar.

“At a stage in RCCG’s history, some of the members here met and decided they will buy me a jet. I’m talking of decades ago; not today. I had to stop them because I heard about their plan. They were already contacting one of my children who works with American Airline in America.

“How do we get a very nice well used jet for our pastor?” I had to stop them; said, “Ah! buying a jet is one thing; maintaining it is another thing. That right now, I need money to build Churches; not a jet,” Adeboye explained.

He added: “In case you don’t believe me, well, there’s evidence. When 9\/11 happened, and America was trying to find out who and who could be connected with bombing their something, they saw a record. You know, every telephone call you make to America is recorded.

“In case you don’t know, know it now. They saw in their database that there was a time some people in Nigeria were trying to buy a jet from American Airlines. So they sent their operatives to go and pick up my son there.

“To find out what happened to that project. Then they discovered it is a pastor they wanted to buy it for. And they felt a pastor is not going to be a bomber. That’s you! That’s where you are!”

A priest in Nnewi Anglican Diocese, Rev. Barr. Ogbuchukwu Makuo Lotanna has just resigned from being a priest in the Anglican Diocese, with plans to kick off a movement that supports Polygamy.

To Reverend Ogbuchukwu, Polygamy is not bad. He said he has taken his time to discover the truth about Polygamy, which the Church has been hiding for a very long time. He claimed that he has received a divine mandate from God to kick off a movement in support of Polygamy called ‘Gideonites’ and that their place of worship will be called ‘Gideonites temple’.

Reverend Ogbuchukwu who is a legal practitioner has also advised men to marry their side chicks, instead of sleeping around with women who they’re not married to. He said that it will help in reducing sexual sins.

Reverend Ogbuchukwu also said that what God hates is unnecessary divorce, and not Polygamy.

Nigerian Man Speaks From Police Cell

Munkaila Ahmadu, who killed his dad and mom in Gagarawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State, stated he did so due to the fact they uttered blasphemous feedback towards the Prophet Muhammad.

A 48-year-old Pastor of “The Light House Gospel Church” Oluwo, Owode Egba, in Obafemi Owode local government area, Pastor Michael Abiodun has been arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for defiling and impregnating a 12 years old member of his church (name withheld).

The Pastor was arrested following a piece of information received at Owode Egba divisional headquarters that, the victim’s mother joined the church as a result of a spiritual problem that led to the death of two of her daughters. On a fateful day, the Pastor who is a father of three asked the victim’s mother to send her to him for special prayer, but on getting there, the Pastor took her into a room within the church and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her which resulted to pregnancy. Upon the information, the DPO Owode Egba division, CSP Olasunkanmi Popoola, detailed his detectives to the scene where the randy Pastor was promptly arrested.

On interrogation, he confessed to the commission of the crime but blamed it on the devil. He further confessed been the person who disvirgined the victim who is a JSS 2 student.
The mother of the victim explained to the police that since her daughter has not been menstruating before, it was difficult for her to know that she was pregnant until seven months after.

The victim, who was delivered of a baby three months ago informed the police that she was threatened by the Pastor with a dare consequence if she informed anybody about what happened between them, and that was the reason she didn’t inform her mother.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the transfer of the suspect to State Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Lawyer Warns Singer Atorise Over Threat To Cleric

Abuja-based lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has warned singer, Lanre Teriba Atorise, to desist from threatening a prophet, Israel Oladele Ogundipe aka Genesis, over his bashing of Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi of Love of Christ Generation Church, Cherubim and Seraphim, Lagos.

Ogundipe, who is the Shepherd-in-Charge of Celestial Church of Christ Global Genesis Parish, slammed Ajayi for abandoning him while he was in custody. Genesis was convicted and sentenced to jail for defrauding a London-based architect and converting her property for personal use in 2021.

Reacting to the public rebuke of the clergywoman, Atorise in a video on his Facebook page on Tuesday expressed his love for Ogundipe and disappointment at his public bashing of Ajayi. He went on to demand that Ogundipe apologises to her within 24 hours.

“Mama Ajayi doesn’t owe anyone anything. She is our benefactor. She prayed for you. I want to give him 24 hours to reverse what he has said. I will go to his church and fight him, one on one. You can’t talk to an elder like that,” he said.

Olajengbesi, who reacted to the face-off via his Facebook page on Wednesday cautioned Atorise about his outburst and threats.

He advised Atorise to apologise to Ogundipe within 24 hours. The lawyer said, “Lanre Teriba Atorise is advised to quickly caution himself with his nature of utterances in the dispute between Prophet Israel Ogundipe Genesis and Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi. He should control his emotions now, nothing under the law gives him the right to threaten anybody. A threat is a crime under the law. The law allows an aggrieved person to express himself or herself just like Genesis has done, but the law will jail a person who threatens another even if he has not carried out his threats. Atorise is well advised because if anything happens to Genesis negligently, Atorise has bought a case he did not pray for. The person to apologise in 24hours so far now is Atorise.”

The United States Government has honoured Deborah Samuel, the 200-level student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE), Sokoto, who was stoned to death on campus by some Islamic extremists for blasphemy on May 12.

Deborah’s picture was uploaded on the website of the US Office of Religious Freedom, which is saddled with the responsibility of promoting universal respect for freedom of religion or belief.

This was done to mark the fourth US International Day Commemorating the Victims of Violence Based on Religion or Belief on August 22.

“In May, a mob brutally stoned, flogged and burnt to death college student, Deborah Samuel, in Nigeria, in an attack fuelled by hatred and blasphemy allegations, even as authorities attempted to stop it,” the office stated on its website.

“We honour her life as we continue the work to end such vicious violence.”
